NK is een scheepsplaat gecertificeerd door de Japan Classification Society. KA-scheepsplaat is geschikt voor de productie van scheepsrompconstructies, dokken, olieproductieplatforms, oceaanpijpleidingen, kustenergiecentrales, dokfaciliteiten en andere structurele onderdelen in oceaan-, kust- en binnenvaartgebieden.
Algemene sterkte scheepsplaat: A, B, D, E.
Zeer sterke scheepsplaten: AH32, AH36, AH40, DH32, DH36, DH40, EH32, EH36, EH40, FH36
ultrasterke scheepsplaten:DH460, EH460, EH550, EH690, NK-kwaliteit A63 D63 E63 F63 enz.
